VET is a non-political, non-denominational youth and children focused organisation that seeks to enhance the society for the benefit of the youth and children. VET was founded in 2000 as a community based organisation specifically responding to issues of HIV/AIDS among youth. VET then registered as a trust in 2007 and incorporated research, education, child rights and youth empowerment in her projects. VET has an advisory board and a board of trustees as part of her organs.
VET has offices in Nairobi and Hamisi (Vihiga County) and is supported by donations and grants from national and international organisations. As part of supporting the projects and administration of VET, there are also Friends of VET (FoVET) who support VET’s work through their contributions.
